This policy explains what Flourish With Laurin LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use Ask Laurin AI ("Ask Laurin") at ask.flourishwithlaurin.com, and what we do with it.
The short version
- We collect your email, the first name and gender you give us, and your chats.
- Your chats go to AI companies so Ask Laurin can reply.
- People on Laurin's team and our developer can read chats.
- We delete chat logs within 90 days.
- We don't sell your information or use it for ads.
- Email support@flourishwithlaurin.com to see or delete your information.
What we collect
- Your sign-in email. We use it to sign you in and check your invitation.
- Your first name and, if you choose, your gender. You enter these when you start. We send them with each question so replies fit you.
- Your chats. This means the questions you ask, the replies you get, and the mode you picked.
- Feedback. This is what you send when you flag a reply.
- Your agreement record. This shows when you agreed to our terms and which version.
- Voice use. When you tap "Listen," we count it to apply the daily limit. We never record your voice.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically records things like your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request.
What we keep in your browser
Your browser saves your name, gender, chosen mode, and whether you finished setup, so you don't have to enter them again. We also use cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or ad tools.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and keep you signed in.
- To keep Ask Laurin safe, including spotting crisis messages and misuse.
- To check and improve the quality of replies. People on Laurin's team and our developer may read chats and flagged replies to do this.
- To send sign-in emails and important notices.
- To choose topics for Laurin's content. We may look at the kinds of questions members ask, with names and details removed and combined across many members. We will never publish your words without your permission.
- To follow the law and protect people's safety and our rights.
Who gets your information
We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run Ask Laurin for us. These include companies that host the app and store data, handle sign-in and email, and AI companies that write replies, search Laurin's material, and turn replies into audio. The voice company gets only the reply text, never your question. If you want to know which companies we use, email us.
- Our developer, who builds and maintains Ask Laurin for us.
- Others, when the law requires it, when needed to protect someone's safety, or if another company takes over Ask Laurin.
Your consent to how chats are handled
When you use Ask Laurin, your messages are sent to and stored by the service providers described above, including AI companies. They may also be read by the people described above. By using Ask Laurin, you agree to this.
How long we keep it
- Chat logs: deleted automatically within 90 days.
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider: deleted on its schedule, within 30 days.
- Account records (your email, invitation, and agreement record): kept until you ask us to delete them or Ask Laurin shuts down.
- Audio from "Listen" is not stored on our servers.
- If the law requires us to keep something longer, we keep it only as long as required. After we delete your account, we may keep a record that you agreed to our terms and asked for deletion.
Health and other sensitive information
People often share personal things in chat, such as their mental health, sexual health, or medical history. We use this information only to answer you, keep you safe, and check reply quality. We don't sell it or use it for ads. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing, and don't include other people's full names or contact details.
Consumer health data
Some states, such as Washington and Nevada, give extra rights for health information. See our Consumer Health Data Notice at ask.flourishwithlaurin.com/health-data.
Your choices and rights
You can email support@flourishwithlaurin.com from your sign-in email to:
- See the information we have about you.
- Get a copy of it.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
We will reply within 30 days. Some state privacy laws may give you more rights. We will honor these requests for every member, wherever you live. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To clear what your browser saved, clear your browser's site data for ask.flourishwithlaurin.com.
Do Not Track
Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" signal. We don't track you across other websites, and we don't let other companies do that on Ask Laurin. So we treat every visitor the same way, whether or not their browser sends this signal.
Children
Ask Laurin is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it. If you think someone under 18 is using Ask Laurin, please email us.
Security
We use encrypted connections and limit who can see chat logs. No online service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Where your data is processed
Ask Laurin is built for people in the United States. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
